How do i consign an artwork ?

If you would like to offer us your artworks of Hungarian Modern and European related paintings, graphics or sculptures to our next auction, you have the following options:


1. Uploading the photos of your artwork via our website

Please note, that we only accept artworks that fit in our profile, so that is only from artists listed on our mainwebsite www.kollergallery.com (please check the list before sending us the pictures).


2. Make an appointment

If you are in Budapest you can make an appointment for delivery directly to us in the gallery here on our appointment site. We would be happy to receive you directly without making an appointment every Thursday between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. Your request will always be treated discreetly and confidentially. For larger collections or very valuable objects we also offer you an on-site assessment at your home.


 

3. Research & market analysis

Our experts research the current value of your artwork and provide you information about sales opportunities and suggest possible limit prices – all free of charge.


4. Commissions for consignments

Our commission is depending on the type and value of the artwork

8% / 10% / 15% / 20% of the hammer price plus VAT (10.1% / 12.7% / 19.0% / 25.4% incl.VAT)

There are no costs for unsold objects.


5. Consignment contract & insurance

We will conclude a consignment contract with you in which the agreed limit prices, commissions and terms and conditions are set out in writing. Your artworks are insured against fire, water, theft or other damage with us at the limit price from the moment they are accepted.


 

6. Auction preparation

We then process your artworks and measure, catalogue and photograph them professionally. We also create condition reports and, if necessary, contact external experts.


 

7. International Marketing

Our Gallery markets your artwork nationally and internationally. We keep the Hungarian collectors' market informed through traditional advertising media and through the specialist press.


8. Auction preview exhibition and auction

The auction preview exhibition will take place in our gallery - Táncsics Mihály utca 5, the auction itself is an online timed auction. During this exhibition anyone registered on our website and having been authorised by us can bid at any lot of the auction at any time. Online registration to bid and subsequent authorization to participate must take place 48 hours before the end of the auction. You can preview the items in the auction exhibition during our business hours.


 

9.Billing

After the successful auction of your artworks, you will receive a statement by  email and a transfer to your bank account four to six weeks after the auction. You can view the auction results online after the auction.
