How to bid at our auctions

1. Register, fast and easy

We organize online timed auctions, that are linked to an exhibition in our Gallery. Bids can be submitted from the time the exhibition begins until the last day of the exhibition at 6 pm. To take part in the auction, you can register here on our online auction platform at any time by clicking HERE. After registration we give you the authorisation to participate, a bid can be placed on each lot at any time during the auction exhibition. The last possible registration time for users who are not yet registered is 24 hours before the end of the auction, so we are able to process  your authorisation by e-mail and thus approve your participation.

2. Preview

During the auction exhibition, you can view all lots in person in our gallery on the castle district in Budapest during our opening hours. We advise you to take part in the preview in order to personally get an impression of the condition of the objects or alternatively to request a condition report.

3. Limit prices, starting price & bid-increments

The prices we publish are limit prices, but estimates are also published on our website. The bid increments are usually in 10% steps and are automatically generated by our system. Please only submit the corresponding bids, all others will not be accepted by the system.

4. Buyer's premium, VAT & resale right

Our buyers premium is:  18 % net (that is 22,86 % gross - including Hungarian VAT)

A resale right surcharge of 4% is due for objects indicated in the Description with “RSR”.

5. Guarantee

We give you a guarantee for all works of art sold.

6. Payment and EUR / USD invoices

Payment can be made after the auction by bank transfer or credit card in our Gallery. We charge a surcharge of 2% for card payments. Bought objects are only handed over to the buyer after full payment has been made. Please note, that we generally issue invoices in Hungarian Forints but we can issue also EUR and USD invoices based on the official exchange Rate of the Hungarian National Bank on the day of the issue date of the invoice.

7. Collection of your artwork

You can pick up the objects you have bought on the first working day after the end of the auction and the auction exhibition, during our gallery's business hours. The easiest way to avoid waiting times is to make an appointment online. Here is the link to our appointment schedule page:

8. Shipping and packaging

If you wish, we can also send you the auctioned objects at your own expense. We can give you and indicative shipping quote before the auction for the Lot you are interested in. Please have in mind that this needs time in advance and also time after the auction.
